Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival in Kabul

Land in Kabul, meet the group and your guides, and settle in. Trip briefing over dinner.

Overnight: Kabul

Day 2 — Kabul → Bamyan

Drive into the Hindu Kush to Bamyan, the valley watched over by the empty niches of the giant Buddhas. Evening walk through town.

Overnight: Bamyan

Day 3 — Ski Day, Koh-e Baba

First day on snow in the Koh-e Baba range above Bamyan — untracked lines, no lifts, no crowds. All levels of touring welcome.

Overnight: Bamyan

Day 4 — Ski Day, Koh-e Baba

Second ski day: push deeper into the range, or lap the slopes that earned Afghanistan its unlikely ski scene.

Overnight: Bamyan

Day 5 — Band-e-Amir → Kabul

Morning at Band-e-Amir, Afghanistan's first national park — a chain of sapphire lakes held by natural travertine dams, extraordinary in snow. Then the drive back to Kabul.

Overnight: Kabul

Day 6 — Kabul

A full day in the capital: bazaars, gardens, hilltop views, and the last supper as a group.

Overnight: Kabul

Day 7 — Departure

Fly home from Kabul. End of trip.

FAQ

Do I need to be an expert skier?
No lifts, so you'll be touring — but the days are built around the group. If you can ski a red run confidently you'll be fine, and splitboarders are welcome.
Do I need a visa?
Yes. We arrange the Letter of Invitation and special travel permissions; you pay the visa fee itself.
When can I book?
Dates are being finalised now. Join the mailing list and you'll hear the moment booking opens — with your $50 code ready to use.
What's your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable. More than 90 days before departure: everything except the deposit refunded. 31–90 days: 50% refund. 30 days or fewer: non-refundable. All cancellations subject to a $50/€50 admin fee. Full details in our Terms & Conditions.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance including medical cover and repatriation is required for all trips.
Are flights included?
No. You arrange flights to and from the start point; we handle everything on the ground.
Who travels with Infamous?
Small groups of around 10, mostly solo travellers in their 20s and 30s. You'll leave with friends.
