Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrive Shanghai

Check in from 4pm, then straight into it: a Lost Plate food tour through Shanghai's backstreets, followed by beers in the French Concession to get to know each other.

Overnight: Shanghai

Day 2 — Shanghai

A lazy start, then a visit to Tailor Jiang for anyone who wants a bespoke suit cut at Shanghai prices. The afternoon is a Shanghai institution: a 24-hour spa (pyjamas provided, dignity optional). As it gets dark we walk downtown and end with drinks on the Bund, the Pudong skyline across the water.

Overnight: Shanghai

Day 3 — Hangzhou & the Fake Paris

Bullet train to Hangzhou for China's first immersive disaster simulation centre — typhoon winds, torrential rain and a flooding car park, all run under instruction. Dinner is out in Tianducheng, China's "fake Paris", under a 108m replica of the Eiffel Tower. Back to Shanghai late.

Overnight: Shanghai

Day 4 — Fly to Hong Kong

Breakfast, then the short flight south. We check into our Hong Kong base and head out for a street-food tour for dinner — a different China entirely.

Overnight: Hong Kong

Day 5 — Hong Kong

Ferry across the harbour to the Monster Building, up Victoria Peak for the classic skyline, then street food and haggling at the Ladies Market.

Overnight: Hong Kong

Day 6 — Hong Kong Sevens

All day at the Hong Kong Sevens: fancy dress, world-class rugby, and the South Stand — the single biggest party in the sport. This is the day the whole trip is built around.

Overnight: Hong Kong

Day 7 — Goodbyes

Check out and goodbyes. Fly home from Hong Kong, or stay on — we can point you in the right direction.

FAQ

Why is this trip application-based?
Sevens weekend sells itself and spots are tight — so we're hand-picking the group. The application takes two minutes, there's no payment with it, and we personally reply to every single one within 48 hours.
How does payment work if I'm accepted?
We reply with an acceptance and a private payment link — deposit or pay in full, same as any other trip. Your spot is held for 72 hours while you pay.
What are the Hong Kong Sevens?
Three days of world-class sevens rugby and one of the great parties in sport — most of the stadium is in fancy dress and nobody is watching quietly. Your ticket for the Saturday is included.
Do I need visas?
For most of you, no. US and Canadian passports don't need a visa: because we leave mainland China for Hong Kong, the trip qualifies for China's visa-free transit (Hong Kong counts as a separate region). Many European passports also enter visa-free, and Hong Kong itself is visa-free for most Western passports. We confirm the exact rule for your nationality after you're accepted.
What's your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable. More than 90 days before departure: everything except the deposit refunded. 31–90 days: 50% refund. 30 days or fewer: non-refundable. All cancellations subject to a $50/€50 admin fee. Full details in our Terms & Conditions.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance including medical cover and repatriation is required for all trips.
Are flights included?
No. You arrange flights to and from the start point; we handle everything on the ground.
Who travels with Infamous?
Small groups of around 10, mostly solo travellers in their 20s and 30s. You'll leave with friends.
