Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrive Hong Kong

Check in from 4pm, then straight into it: a Hong Kong street-food tour from 6pm, and beers from 9 to get to know each other before the big one.

Overnight: Hong Kong

Day 2 — Hong Kong Sevens

All day at the Hong Kong Sevens — finals Sunday. Fancy dress, world-class rugby, and the South Stand: the single biggest party in the sport. This is the day the whole trip is built around.

Overnight: Hong Kong

Day 3 — Hong Kong

A recovery breakfast at 11, then the Monster Building and up Victoria Peak for the classic skyline. We close it out with another food tour — Hong Kong does not do quiet nights.

Overnight: Hong Kong

Day 4 — Fly to Shanghai

The early-afternoon flight north to a different China entirely. We check in and head straight to a Shanghai institution: a 24-hour spa (pyjamas provided, dignity optional).

Overnight: Shanghai

Day 5 — Shanghai

A visit to a legendary Shanghai tailor for anyone who wants a bespoke suit cut at Shanghai prices (optional, paid directly to the tailor), then shopping at the AP Plaza market. A food tour through the backstreets for dinner, and drinks on the Bund with the Pudong skyline across the water.

Overnight: Shanghai

Day 6 — Hangzhou & the Fake Paris

Out to Hangzhou for China's first immersive disaster simulation centre — typhoon winds, torrential rain and a flooding car park, all run under instruction. Dinner is in Tianducheng, China's "fake Paris", under a 108m replica of the Eiffel Tower. Back to Shanghai late.

Overnight: Shanghai

Day 7 — Goodbyes

Check out and goodbyes. Fly home from Shanghai, or stay on — we can point you in the right direction.

*This itinerary may be adjusted slightly. Usually to add experiences.

The replica Eiffel Tower at Tianducheng, China's fake Paris
Flood simulation at the disaster training centre, Hangzhou

FAQ

Why is this trip application-based?
Round 1 sold out on applications and spots are just as tight this time — so we're hand-picking the group again. The application takes two minutes, there's no payment with it, and we personally reply to every single one within 48 hours.
How does payment work if I'm accepted?
We reply with an acceptance and a private payment link — a $700 deposit or the full $2,500, your choice. Your spot is held for 72 hours while you pay.
What are the Hong Kong Sevens?
Three days of world-class sevens rugby and one of the great parties in sport — most of the stadium is in fancy dress and nobody is watching quietly. Your ticket for finals Sunday is included.
Do I need visas?
For most of you, no. US and Canadian passports don't need a visa: we enter mainland China from Hong Kong (which counts as a separate region) and fly home to a third country, so the trip qualifies for China's visa-free transit. Many European passports also enter visa-free, and Hong Kong itself is visa-free for most Western passports. We confirm the exact rule for your nationality after you're accepted.
What's your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable. More than 90 days before departure: everything except the deposit refunded. 31–90 days: 50% refund. 30 days or fewer: non-refundable. All cancellations subject to a $50/€50 admin fee. Full details in our Terms & Conditions.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance including medical cover and repatriation is required for all trips.
Are flights included?
No. You arrange flights to and from the start point; we handle everything on the ground.
Who travels with Infamous?
Small groups of around 10, mostly solo travellers in their 20s and 30s. You'll leave with friends.
